The 2TB My Book Studio External Hard Drive from Western Digital is a desktop hard drive with FireWire-800 and USB 2.0 connectivity options. The drive features an LCD display which can be customized to remind you what type of data is stored on the drive, even when it is unplugged.

Designed for use with Mac OS X systems, the drive is preformatted with the HFS+ file system. It is compatible with Time Machine, allowing you to use it as an external backup drive. It includes the WD SmartWare software suite, and uses a WD GreenPower drive for reduced energy consumption.
