Profile 5 players have BD-Live, and are also capable of 3D playback.

Films are typically shot, developed and encoded for cinema reproduction at 24fps.

Regular PAL broadcasting and DVD have always played these images back at 25 fps (50Hz).

This has the effect of speeding up images and raising the pitch of sounds and voices.

But, the new high definition discs, like Blu-ray Disc, offer you access to a digitised ā€¯true to the originalā€¯ copy of the theatrical movie content.

HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface and its purpose is to provide a single digital connection between one compatible product and another.

For example, a single digital connection between a compatible DVD recorder and A/V Receiver. Or a single digital connection between an A/V Receiver and plasma screen.

If you connect a USB memory stick to your home cinema system, you can either play music or look at JPEG images with the JPEG Picture Viewer.
